About the Cloe Chihuta Foundation

Born from lived experience and two decades of community work, our Foundation exists to remove barriers so families can flourish on their own terms.

Our background

The Cloe Chihuta Foundation is a women-led, community-driven non-profit organisation working across Zimbabwe and South Africa. We began with a handful of families in Chitungwiza and a simple conviction: that communities already carry the wisdom to change their circumstances, and what they most often lack is access, not ability.

Today our programs span education, nutrition, youth and women's empowerment and community capacity building — delivered through schools, churches and local structures who know their neighbours by name.

The founder's story

Cloe Chihuta grew up in Zimbabwe and spent two decades in community and social care work across Southern Africa and abroad. Again and again she met bright, capable young people whose futures hinged on school fees, a uniform, or a single adult believing in them. She founded the Foundation to be that adult — at scale, and with dignity at the centre.
